Desirae Munsinger joined MNK9SS in 2026 and is our newest handler!

She brings a strong public safety background to the team, with professional experience in corrections and as a firefighter with the Shakopee Fire Department. Her career has been rooted in high stress, high responsibility environments, giving her a solid foundation in teamwork, situation awareness, and decision making under pressure. 

 

Her canine partner, Halligan, is a German Shepherd rescued from Wisconsin. True to both his breed and his name, Halligan is intense, driven, and always ready to work. He has a strong toy drive, especially for squeak balls, and shows a natural enthusiasm for training. His confidence, focus, and work ethic make him a promising addition to the MNK9SS canine program.

Desirae and Halligan are currently in training for LF and are working towards future operational milestones. Their dedication to training and continual growth reflect the values of our organization.
