For donations under $250, the IRS does not require donors to obtain a written acknowledgement from a charity before you claim a charitable contribution on your federal income tax return.

Donation in Honor/Memory Of
If you would like to make a donation in honor of or in memory of someone (human or animal), your donation will assist us in continuing our mission. You can also donate in honor of a special occasion.
A personalized card recognizing your donation will be sent to the person/honoree from us on your behalf and you will receive a separate acknowledgement of your gift.

Nicole A. Burnham: 12/30/1996 - 01/26/2018

On April 19th, 2018, Minnesota K9 Search Specialists was honored to receive a $2,000 donation from the family of Nicole Burnham, who died from suicide earlier this year. Nicole was kind, compassionate, adventurous and creative. She was also a proud soldier in the United States Army and had just completed a tour of duty in South Korea.
​
Part of the donation went into purchasing rappelling harnesses for our canine partners. We utilize these harnesses to lift and lower ourselves and our dogs into rescue actions. Patches were custom made and placed on each of our harnesses so we can carry Nicole's memory with us- ensuring she'll be there to help bring us and our canine partners to safety.
​
MNK9SS thanks the Burnham family for their donation and our hearts go out to them as they grieve Nicole.
