Cindy Jorgenson
Canine Handler

Cindy Jorgenson joined MNK9SS in 2022, bringing with her an extensive background in training and competing with German Shepherds. Over the years, Cindy has titled her dogs in a variety of disciplines, including scentwork, Rally-O, obedience, agility, and dock diving. Her experience across these areas has given her a deep understanding of canine behavior, drive, and teamwork, which she now applies to her work in search and rescue.

Cindy’s current partner, K9 Tazz, is a German Shepherd with a remarkable ability for detection. Certified as a CST-CE, Type I in LF through FEMA/SUSAR, Tazz is known among the team for her relentless nose and unwavering accuracy in finding scent. Beyond her skills, she has a playful side and loves a game of tug, making her both a serious worker and a fun companion.

In addition to Tazz, Cindy is also developing K9 Lizz, another German Shepherd who is in training for HR. Lizz is already demonstrating strong potential and drive, showing the promise of becoming a capable working dog under Cindy’s guidance.

Together, Cindy, Tazz, and Lizz represent the balance of skill and discipline, that strengthens MNK9SS. Their teamwork reflects not only Cindy’s long history in dog sports but also her commitment to preparing highly capable canine partners for the demanding work of search and rescue.

​Cindy also serves as the Treasurer of MNK9SS, helping support the organization’s operations and long-term stability.
