Mark Falk
Canine Handler
Mark Falk has been a dedicated member of MNK9SS since 2017, though his involvement in search and rescue extends back several years before joining the team. With extensive experience in detection disciplines, Mark has become a trusted resource within the organization, known for his calm leadership, technical skill, and passion for developing strong canine teams.

Mark’s first canine partner, K9 Kinsey, was a driven and loyal search dog who served faithfully alongside him. Kinsey made a lasting impact on both the team and the community before her passing in 2023.

Mark and his wife, Dawn, own and operate Cloud Nine Training School for Dogs, where they specialize in agility, obedience, nosework, tracking, and therapy dog training, helping handlers of all levels build meaningful partnerships with their dogs.

Mark’s current working partner, K9 Red, was donated by Westphal Retrievers. Red has shown exceptional drive and ability, earning her CST-CE, Type I certification in HR, through FEMA/SUSAR, at just two years of age. Red’s name honors the legendary “K9 Red,” a black Labrador Retriever who deployed to the Pentagon following the September 11th terrorist attacks and later assisted at Ground Zero in recovery efforts. Like her namesake, Red represents courage, dedication, and service.

Together, Mark and Red embody the skill and teamwork that define MNK9SS.
